Sara and Mike’s session was so fun, these guys made each other laugh effortlessly which makes my job a breeze. We went to two locations. The first location was Hickory Creek Preserve in Mokena. This was right before everything died. Fall is beautifully tragic, isn’t it? Then we went to The Oaks Disc Golf Course, which is something Mike enjoys a lot, and if I remember correctly they told me it was one of their first dates. This is a perfect example of why it’s a great idea to incorporate YOU into your engagement session. As a photographer, I know I can and will make any spot work. However, photography is like writing an essay in that if your instructor doesn’t give guidelines or prompts it can go any which way (which is totally fine) but when given something like “we like disc golfing”, I then have an extra element to play with which makes the story telling better. Think of your session as a collaboration.
