Sweet Hometown Church Wedding in Lombard Illinois

This gorgeous wedding took place on 2/22/2020.  We were blessed with a 50 degree day in February! Some call it “fool’s Spring”, I call it “Thank goodness we can take more photos outside without freezing!”. We had so much fun with Mel and Anthony, from their engagement session where they swore that they were awkward in front of the camera (myth) to their wedding day! This sweet couple met 10 years ago at Mr. Z’s Supermarket as employees! We  got the opportunity to stop by Mr. Z’s and pop a bottle of champagne with their good friends, fellow co-workers, and the support from local traffic honking in celebration! I loved getting to go back to my hometown to photograph Mel and Anthony’s special day. Roaming the streets of Lombard brought back wonderful memories of Lilac parades, high school years, and being a carefree teenager. I love being in Madison but there’s no place like a hometown wedding. What makes Lombard so great is the wonderful people, I loved being able to see old friends from high school support this lovely couple.

Mel and Anthony are such a sweet couple, no doubt they will do wonderful things together and this will be their greatest journey yet!

Mel & Anthony, it was an honor to photograph your day! Thank you for being so welcoming, laughing with us, and discovering you are a model couple :-P.  We adore you two!
