Ollin Park and Downtown Madison Engagement Session

October’s been a busy month for me, and likely all photographers since these Fall colors are so gorgeous in the Midwest. With that being said I’m allowing myself to blog twice in one day. Bill and Jess planned their whole weekend around taking engagement photos. They live in Illinois and drove up to stay with Jess’s mom in Wisconsin in order to get to Ollin Park at a decent time since we choose to do it at sunrise. These guys both went to Willowbrook Highschool! Which is where I graduated from, feels like a small world. It’s nice chatting with people who grew up in the same area as you. Since I’m not living their and haven’t for a while it’s easy to see and pick up commonalities with people in the same area because I’ve been away from it for so long. Makes me miss home! Anyways, It was Jess’s first time at Madison’s Capitol – which is always gorgeous. I remember when David and I first went downtown after moving here, he was so excited to show me the Captiol. It was at night and as you know if you live here its always lit up. I was wide eyed as David gave me history lessons as my ADHD mind tried to keep up. Now this is our common stomping grounds and I love bringing people from out of state here.

Also, you can’t really tell but it was FREEZING on this morning and despite all that Jess still rocked a dress. These two did awesome! Thanks for coming out!
