It’s always an honor getting chosen to capture a wedding day. Especially a wedding day of a fellow creative. As a photographer, I love taking my camera to family events, vacations, wherever my loved ones are – I gotta have it! That is the same for our groom, Andrew! Our job was to make sure he did not have a camera in hand and he was in the pictures, not taking them. 

It’s also an honor to photograph a wedding so customized and well thought out. Their wedding was so BEAUTIFUL and so THEM. Basically, Katie is a genius and trend setter. All the details – *chef’s kiss*. They also made sure their day was centered around their love for water by boating to everywhere they needed. They arrived at their ceremony on a boat, said I do in the sand and danced the night away at their reception as the sun set behind the lake. 

The best part of the whole day for us was witnessing little looks Andrew and Katie would give to each other. Scrolling through the gallery, you can see what I mean! They had that spark in their eyes. And if I’m being honest, seeing their daughter, Lilli, smash cake in Andrew’s face is likely the highlight of everyone’s night.

It has been a wonderful journey from the first cup of coffee, to the engagement session, through rescheduling, to finally a gorgeous wedding in 2021 where your family and friends could celebrate you two becoming one!
